Meal Plan and Grocery List 4/27- 5/3

This weekend has been absolutely beautiful and consequently seems to have flown by. I can't believe that's it's already Sunday night and time to post another meal plan. According to last week's meal plan tonight I was supposed to make Quick Fettuccine Cacciatore. I didn't want to waste a minute of the finally-nice weather. So instead of cooking, we took a family bike ride, played some corn hole in the driveway, blew bubbles, and ran around the back yard laughing. Like I say in the guide to meal planning, the plan does have to be flexible. Meal Plan and Grocery List 2/23 - 2/29

Hello friends! I am pretty excited about the meal plan for this week. However, I am changing it even as I sit here and type. I have decided to extend our visit home for a couple more days. Both kids are sick and the baby has a nasty upper respiratory infection. I'm a little tired from all of the fun that I've had catching up with friends and family. As I began organizing suitcases this morning, the dread was building at the thought of 5-6 hours ahead of me in the car with two cranky, hacking children. Then my husband said, "Why don't you stay another day?" Yeah. Why don't I? He really had to twist my arm.

Which means...I won't be home to cook stuffed cabbage soup as originally planned. And I can't post about Beef Wellington as promised on last week's plan, because those files are on my home computer. Meal Plan and Grocery List 1/19- 1/25 Recipe Remix

One of the many benefits to regular meal planning is that you don't have to re-invent the wheel every time. If you save the old meal plans, you can just pull one out when you don't have the time (or inspiration) to look up recipes and make a new plan. This week, I'm featuring recipes that I prepared in October and November re-mixed into the following plan. Since all of the links are provided, I won't be posting about dinner every night. Instead, I'll be posting every day about some of my other cooking endeavors. This week's posts will include dark chocolate pudding, how to make your own roasted red peppers, vegetable soup, ice cream snowmen, and even a refrigerator cleaning tutorial. All of that and I still need to catch up on the weekend posts, so in the next few days, look for Chicken Cacciatore and some pictures from my beautiful baby's birthday party.
