Holy cow! Last week was felt like a race...something every day, running from place to place...it was crazy! This week is a little different. First, I only have one kiddo. My oldest will be in Indiana visiting my family and attending a day camp and Vacation Bible School with her cousin. I met my sister halfway to hand off my very excited daughter today. This is the sister that I mentioned in my Apple Dumpling post back in November. The one that doesn't read this blog. Or so I thought...today when I met her in the truck stop off of the highway that is halfway between her house and mine she was like, "No more hot dog posts, lady!" I was surprised. "What?" She expanded, "That hot dog casserole looked disgusting!"(or something like that) Yeah, I know that it wasn't pretty, but I only cooked a couple of times last week. I had to write about something...AND my kids did love it. Okay, so NO hot dog posts this week, I promise. Actually, I've only got a few meals planned for this week because we're heading out Friday for a 4 day weekend including a wedding and a visit with family. We'll return home next week with BOTH of our daughters and life will (hopefully) return to normal for a few days...then the 4th of July holiday weekend will be here with all of the festivities that accompany our nation's birthday. Gotta love the summer!
For now the house is eerily quiet as I type this. (I just figured out that my toddler goes to sleep so much faster when her big sister isn't here to whisper through the walls for an hour or two at bedtime). Hmmm.
Here's the plan:
Monday June 21st
Taco Salad or Teriyaki Chicken Breasts on the Grill
Tuesday June 22nd
Grilled Tomato, Smoked Turkey, and Muenster Sandwiches
Wednesday June 23rd
Kona Grill's Big Island Meatloaf with Mushroom Ragu and Shoyu Cream Sauce. Amen. : )
Thursday June 24th
Leftovers (Meatloaf Sandwiches?)
Friday June 25th-Sunday June 26th
We'll be eating in my mother-in-law's kitchen. Yay!

FUNNY! I agree with ty's mommy that I am caught off guard when someone I don't think reads my blog does! I get kind of self conscious and hope they are liking what they see ! LOL :)

Another great menu. You are far more organized than I. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
