We're safely home from our 4 day whirlwind Disney World adventure. I'm busy unpacking, doing laundry, and writing my meal plans for the next couple of weeks, so nothing is cooking in my kitchen today...unless you count a freezer pizza for lunch and spaghetti with sauce from a jar for dinner. In the meantime, I thought that I'd post a few pictures from our trip.
Here's the mandatory family picture in front of Cinderella's Castle. If you've been to Disney World, I bet that you have one of these too. At least we're all in the picture, even if everyone isn't looking at the camera.
Here's my little Cinderella and I on Aladdin's Magic Carpets. She's looking like she could use a N-A-P. I would never say this word around her. Have you ever said "nap" to a toddler who really needs one? It can get ugly.
Here's my other little princess, escorted by none other than that "willy nilly silly old bear" Winnie the Pooh at the front of a kid's parade through the Crystal Palace. She LOVES to be the center of attention, so she was on Cloud 9!
And finally, a foodie moment. Check out this cute Mickey Mouse waffle from our breakfast with Mary Poppins at the Grand Floridian:
You can't tell from the picture, but to the left is a serving of warm bread pudding with vanilla bean sauce and to the right is French Toast smothered with Bananas Foster topping. Of course, there is my beloved bacon down below. Also worth a mention, but not pictured: the Lobster Benedict. Now, I'm a fan of traditional Eggs Benedict. And I LOVE lobster. To put them together for my breakfast...oh my! It's a poached egg on a chive biscuit rather than an English muffin, topped with a decadent lobster Hollandaise sauce. Have mercy!
The weather was beautiful, the kids had a blast, the flights were good (and the kiddos were good on the flights), and we're home safe. That's what I call a successful vacation!
Stay tuned: I'm heading to the grocery tomorrow and I'll be turning out recipes again soon.
I hope that you all had a great week!
Welcome back from my favorite place in the whole wide world!! Looks like y'all had a great time.

ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful mother's day!!
P.S. I think the word nap is a nightmare to all toddlers. It sure makes them crazed, doesn't it?
Oh how fun!! I can't wait to take Ty when he's a bit older. Glad you guys had a great trip!
