My First Meal Plan and Grocery List of 2010! 1/4-1/10

Yay! I'm finally off of the sofa! Boy did that flu throw me for a loop! Of course, life goes on while the "housekeeper" is sick. Everywhere I look there happens to be a mess. Christmas decorations are still up. Presents need to be put away. Laundry and dishes are present in abundance. I'm definitely feeling overwhelmed and I almost wanna pull the covers back over my head. Not really an option...SO...baby steps. I'll start with a meal plan. My goal for the day was to do the grocery shopping and put the groceries away. Done! It was actually strange to be out in the world again. Between caring for my kids and being sick myself, I haven't gotten out much in the last couple of weeks. Tonight we had easy Beef Chow Mein for dinner. Just click the links below to read the complete recipes and instructions for meals that I've posted here before (like Beef Chow Mein).

  2. I am inspired... I did my list (menu and shopping) through Thursday night. So far, so good, no extra trips to the store.

will start my week on Friday, as get togethers are rarely planned in advance, and always seem to happen on the weekend... this way, i will have a better handle on what is expected from the cook
